"I have been doing DRUMlins for 40 years or so. My lowly steel drum containers emphasize that somehow the mundane is relevant, the simple wise and the rusty always beautiful. For many years, DRUMlins Cartoon was published weekly in the Miramichi Leader/Weekend. A collection entitled ‘The Metal Majority, Voice of the Rusty Right’ was published by Cadogan Publishing Ltd. in 1997. DRUMlins evolved into a long series of paintings, in watercolours and oils, that have been exhibited here and there over the years. For the last decade or so, DRUMlin DRAWings have and continue to be published on my way too many and increasingly confusing array of social media platforms. This is primarily what is featured in this collection. Some happened quick & dirty and others are somewhat more finished, depending on the subject, and mood" - Bill Hicks
