LEADERS IN THE FIELD: THE HISTORY AND LEGACY OF ART AT MOUNT ALLISON Showcases the vitality and major contributions of Mount Allison’s Fine Arts department to Canadian culture.

Since 1854, the faculty and graduates of the Sackville, New Brunswick school helped foster one of the most important art institutions in the country. The venerable Fine Arts Department has been a hub of creativity for generations, and many of Canada’s most beloved and respected artists have taught or graduated from its program.

Mount Allison University has long understood the importance of the liberal arts as a catalyst for nurturing personal growth and expression, and this remarkable place overlooking “the world’s largest hayfield” gives each generation the fuel to keep imagining.
